Hey MasonHacks participants!
There are just 10 days left until May 19th!
We're working on getting everything set up to make this our best hackathon yet. Here are a couple updates on the process!
#MasonHacks' complimentary participant gifts arrived in the mail today! We'll be giving every participant free stickers and hosting credit from our incredible sponsor @digitalocean!

Complimentary Gifts have arrived!
We just recently received a shipment from our sponsor DigitalOcean of their "Love Packs," which we'll be giving to all of you. Each pack contains $10 worth of credit towards server hosting, plus some stickers, because everybody likes those.
Reminder to sign all members up
Please make sure that all of your team members have signed up! We won't be allowing in participants who aren't registered for the event on Devpost. Note, however, that we won't be cutting off signups, so if you need to make a change to your team the day before the event, that's totally fine.
State Department collaboration
We're super excited to announce that we'll be partnering with the US Department of State this year! The State Department has provided us with a (gigantic) dataset giving a history of their diplomats' postings since the 1800s. The Department would like for MasonHacks participants to come up with creative and innovative tools for viewing this data. Such projects will be featured on their website at diplomacy.state.gov, and may be used at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History. The State Department will also provide tech-field internship opportunities to interested students.
Food!
MasonHacks will be catered by Jimmy Johns, with no cost to participants. You will be able to choose your meal during the event, and accomodations will be made for any dietary restrictions.
